Accessing Available Healthcare

One of the benefits of hosting a podcast is having the opportunity to speak with talented and interesting people. I always look forward to what I am going to learn and love having the opportunity to share this information with all of you.

This week I had the pleasure of speaking with Isabel Gross, Occupational Safety & Health Project Coordinator with Farmworker Justice. Telamon Corporation is collaborating with Farmworker Justice and other community agencies on a Medicaid enrollment initiative. This initiative is being run by Community Catalyst in response to falling Medicaid enrollment in Michigan, Texas, New Jersey and Florida. The intent of the project is to provide correct and accessible information about Medicaid to marginalized populations so individuals are empowered to make decisions about their health and access available healthcare.

We must prevent the spread of fear and misunderstanding, the kind of fear that prevents people from accessing resources that will keep themselves and their families healthy and safe. Telamon Corporation is very proud about participating in this important initiative and working with individuals like Isabel. Enjoy the episode.
